S&D Construction was honored to participate in the 2023 Holiday Adopter Program sponsored by Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches. Below is a letter we received from Michele Lutas, the 2023 Holiday Adopter Program Coordinator.
Dear Ms. Librizzi, With spring approaching, we would like to take a moment to reflect on everything you made possible over the holiday season. On behalf of our board, staff, and the families we serve at Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, I would like to thank you for graciously participating in our 2023 Holiday Adopter Program. Whether you sent in a donation or shopped for one or several families, your kindness and generosity brought smiles to the children’s faces and a sense of hope to their parents. Your spirit of giving brought joy and happiness to families in need throughout Palm Beach County. Because of you and other individuals and organizations, 170 families, including 370 children, reveled in the magic of the holidays.
Adopt-A-Family’s mission is to strengthen families with children in their efforts to achieve stability and self-sufficiency by providing access to all-encompassing services. Year-round, Adopt-A-Family assists families who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless with support services including affordable housing, short-term financial assistance, and case management. In the last fiscal year, the agency assisted over 1,270 at-risk families on their path toward stability and self-sufficiency. Supporters like you make our work possible, and the Holiday Adopter Program is one of the ancillary services offered to help families meet their goals and ensure that children have a memorable holiday experience despite their circumstances.
Thank you again for your time and giving this winter, and we hope you will consider participating in 2024. The holidays were brighter for so many families because of you and the team of wonderful Holiday Adopters.
